If you own a searchable tree, have DNA matches, or interact with other members, people will see either your username or your real name. You decide how you appear on Ancestry.
Go to your personal profile
- Click Edit.
- In the menu that appears, select Real Name or Ancestry Username.
- Click Done.
You can also update your real name or change your Ancestry username.
